Founded in 1952, the Housing Authority of the City of Eufaula is chartered under the laws of the State of Alabama to provide andadminister affordable housing programs for the citizens of Eufaula. The Housing Authority receives policy guidance and operational approval from its five member governing Board of Commissioners who are appointed by the Mayor of the City of Eufaula. All funding is provided by the Federal Government through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Located in southeast Alabama on beautiful Lake Eufaula, the Eufaula Housing Authority (EHA) provides 377 units of public housing in the city limits of Eufaula. The Section 8 program administers 428 housing vouchers in both Barbour and Henry Counties. EHA’s staff consists of 30 full-time and 7 part-time employees.

We are committed to providing quality customer service to our residents. In addition, we wish to provide every opportunity available so that residents may fulfill their personal and career goals. Education is at the top of the list as we pride ourselves in providing educational opportunities for every age group. From our Little Scholars Pre-School for three and four year olds to our after-school tutorial and adult education classes, everyone has the chance to further their education.
